A Studio of Conceptual Design and Sculptural Practice
Lorn Jean is a design-led studio exploring the intersections of jewellery, garment and object, where material, form and philosophy coalesce. Rooted in a sculptural approach to design, the work investigates emotional presence, physical balance and the poetic possibilities of metal and textile.
Originally recognised through integrated garments, such as the Florentine Dress now held in the National Museum of Scotland, the studio continues to evolve through research and material experimentation. Pieces emerge as studies in structural intimacy. The practice engages with ideas of emotional endurance, transformation and symbolic form. Each project reflects a commitment to slow process and an ongoing inquiry into how form holds meaning.
With a background spanning fashion, material innovation and object-making, the studio approaches design as an embodied and conceptual act, where imagination and precision are inseparable.
The studio is based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
